It's here, Halloween! This is the time of year where I'm like "Where did the year go?" So when I see Halloween stuff in stores quickly arriving 1 week after the Back-To-School sales, I feel a little rushed. I just spent all this money on school supplies & stuff, and now I have to spend more money on something that's only needed for about 1 to 10 hours max. SMH.
To reduce any apprehensions of spending $20 to $40 bucks per child, I only buy Halloween Costumes that will last at least a year or more. Choose costumes that they can use for role-playing, imagination play, or even as nightclothes!
Melissa and Doug have excellent role-play costumes that run around $30 like a Pediatric Nurse costume 5-piece playset and Veterinarian costume playset. The kids can dress up in it for Halloween and then use it the next day to promote their imagination and communication skills while playing.
Playing dress-up is proven to have developmental benefits from brain development, problem-solving, and motor skills. What's even cooler, Melissa and Doug costumes can be personalized by adding your child's name on the costume! They have costumes for ages 3-6 year olds for pretending as a Chief to an Astronaut, or a Magician to name a few.

Carter's came up with a cool easy way to dress up the baby carrier instead of the baby. To celebrate the fall season, you can get away with wearing this all month. This is perfect for Halloween in a warm climate or a house party. All you have to do is snap on and off. It comes with a hat and booties too! This is also, a cool DIY idea. It comes in Baby Jack- O'Lattern or Baby Skelton, one size fits all (yeah!)
Costumes with rollover cuffs convert to mittens and booties are a must for cooler climates. Cuddle Club Fleece Baby Bunting Bodysuit costumes are soft and warm to keep baby's fingers and toes cozy while going door-to-door. Many styles & colors that range from newborn size to 4T. After Halloween is over, your baby can continue to wear this onesie while you continue to gogo gaga over how cute your baby is in their outfit.
